At this year's CSI Portsmouth, the third year of this popular event, there is a great line up of crime experts and authors. You can read all about the crime experts and crime authors taking part at CSI Portsmouth
Joining me on the afternoon panel is crime writer Ann Cleeves, the author of the Vera series of crime novels which have been adapted into the popular ITV series starring Brenda Blethyn and David Leon, broadcast in the UK, and sold worldwide. An adaptation of Red Bones, one of her Shetland mysteries, is currently in preparation for television. Her books have been translated into twenty languages.
My marine based mystery crime novels are set at the opposite end of the UK. The Solent mysteries are set around Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. They feature the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton. There are currently eight in the series with the ninth, Undercurrent, being published in January 2013. They are published in the UK and the USA where they have been highly acclaimed and have been translated intoseveral languages and are soon to be published in China. I am also theauthor of two stand alone thrillers, one of which, In Cold Daylight was voted the third most popular novel for World Book Day 2008.
On the crime expert side we have Adrian Fretter from Hampshire Police Hi Tech Unit, Professor Bran Nicol an expert on Stalking and Internet Stalking and Dr Mark Button an expert on Fraud.
It promises to be a very lively panel debate looking at cyber crime, fraud and stalking, and the audience will have the chance to put their questions to the crime authors and crime experts.
