Entries now accepted for CWA Debut Dagger Award 2013

The Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) has announced the Debut Dagger competition for 2013.

The Debut Dagger is open to entries until 2 February 2013, and is for authors who have not previously had a commercial novel published. Shortlisted entries will be announced at CrimeFest in Bristol in May 2013, and the winner will be announced at the CWA Awards in July. To enter, you need to submit the first 3000 words of a novel and a synopsis of a further 500-1000 word. It costs £25.

The winner will receive a £700 prize. All the shortlisted authors in 2013 will be given a free Manuscript Assessment from the CWA. Crime fiction experts at the CWA will critique the book providing detailed feedback.
