Headline Publishing Group's Martin Fletcher will leave his role as publisher at large in early November this year, in order to concentrate on freelance editing, writing and consultancy.
Fletcher has worked at Headline since 2001, having worked in publishing for close to 30 years, including seven years at Simon & Schuster, and four years as senior editor at Picador before that. He will continue to handle several projects for Headline in a freelance capacity, and intends to also work for other publishers, and expand his book review work.
At Headline, Fletcher has been responsible for authors and projects including Jo Brand's autobiographies, and fiction from authors including Harry Thompson, David Gibbins, Robert Ryan and Quintin Jardine.
